Jeremy, thanks for your comments. I too believe that the younger generation of parents are probably more capable of dealing with today's world. The older kids (eg Hillary) are consumed with ignorance and fear.

Thank you again, Jeremy. I hope your Christmas was a merry one, and good luck with parenthood.

Nicely put. I myself don't think that retailers should allow children to buy games that are rated above their age level without a parent there to ok it, but most places already have that rule. Legislation is unnecessary in my opinion.

Either way, they all make it sound like us poor young parents (I'm 22 and my wife is 20, and our daughter is 1) just got here from the medieval age and are incapable of understanding the world around us, so we need legislature from the federal government to make sure we can raise our kids.

I'm going to raise my child with caring and effort. As a young parent, I have a feeling I probably have a better understanding of the new culture that technology has brought about than Hillary Clinton probably does. I think things like this stem from a lack of understanding about video games from politicians....

....I think it all boils down to this: We need Congress to join a massive LAN party and learn the joy of the word "frag". ^.^
